Former Florida standout forward Corey Brewer still enjoys coming back to Gainesville, the place where he helped lead the Gators to back to back national titles in 2006 and 2007.

Brewer will be hosting his ninth annual Back 2 Back Youth Camp a bit earlier this summer in a different location.

This year’s camp will take place June 25-27 at Santa Fe College with proceeds to benefit the UF Diabetes Fund. It’s open to boys and girls ages 9-17 and registration information can be found here.

Brewer, 32, just completed his 11th NBA season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and was reunited with his former coach at Florida, Billy Donovan. Brewer started 16 of 18 games with the Thunder after being traded over from the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 10.1 points and 3.4 rebounds. The Thunder were bounced in the first round of the NBA playoffs in six games by the Utah Jazz.

Other notes:

The ACC made a recommendation in its spring meetings to expand the NCAA Tournament from 68 to 72 teams, adding a second First Four round. Other recommendations the league put forth including moving back the 3-point line and widening the lane. The NCAA Tournament last expanded from 65 to 68 teams in 2011.
