When talking about the league’s most coveted 6th men in the NBA you have the usual suspects.There is one more name however that has gone overlooked and that is the Houston Rockets (Guard/Forward) Corey Brewer.

Brewer was a mid-season acquisition via trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves that has been a blessing for the Rockets. Brewer has elevated his game to new heights since signing with the Rockets.

The small forward is shooting 45% from the field while raising his three point shooting percentage to 31%. He is the spark off the bench that every contending team so desperately needs in today’s NBA – especially in the tough Western Conference. His tenacity, reckless style of play, defense, and ability to run the floor and finish at the rim makes him a key asset off the Rockets bench (along with Josh Smith). He is what the Rockets have been looking for there entire time with James Harden on the roster; a competent wing guard to let Harden get extended rest.
