Former Minnesota Timberwolves forward Corey Brewer is making a name for himself so far in the 2015 NBA Playoffs. Brewer is playing an important role for the Houston Rockets, coming off the bench and playing 24 and 29 minutes in the first two games of the Rockets’ playoff series with the Mavericks.

Yes, this is the same Corey Brewer who previously owned the Timberwolves franchise single game scoring record after dropping 51 (!) points against, ironically, the Houston Rockets.

Brewer is still the same player making the same type of impact to his team. The Rockets have found themselves a very savvy veteran that will produce off the bench. There’s no doubt that Brewer could play a key role during the entire playoff run for the Rockets, not just these first two games.

Game 1 of the series was a 118-108 win in which Brewer finished with 24 minutes of play and scored 15 points while making 5 of 11 shots. Brewer was able to spark a run in the fourth quarter that opened up the game for the Rockets and led them to the win.
