A tweak to the rotation that paid off Tuesday in Phoenix when Brewer twice scored on tip-ins and scored eight fourth-quarter points to help knock off the Suns.

“It means a lot,” Brewer said of the confidence shown in him. “Coach wants you in the game, you’re in the game for a reason, that’s to win basketball games. For me, that’s doing the little things, like cutting, making guys go with me, the tip-ins, just whatever it takes to win. That’s what it’s about right now. We have to win.

“You have to hustle the whole game and hopefully it will pay off in the end.”

Brewer said he was especially pleased with the tip-ins, preferring them to the 3s.
