The arc was majestic, the placement perfect and the finish was forceful.
Timberwolves forward Kevin Love’s soaring outlet pass hit Corey Brewer in stride for a wide-open tomahawk dunk. The second- quarter play — like the rest of Wednesday night’s game — looked easy against the depleted Denver Nuggets.
Brewer’s dunk pushed the lead to 20 points in an eventual 117-90 win at Target Center.
In the third quarter, Ricky Rubio fed Brewer with another outlet pass for a two- handed jam. After, Love and Rubio could smile at the ease.

“On the money,” Brewer said of the outlet passes aiding his 22 points. “Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio, they put them on the money, and I just lay them in. Not too bad.”
