By the time the fourth quarter rolled around Monday night, all the Nuggets could do was dig deep and find the energy to finish. It was the 12th quarter of basketball the team played in three days, yet circumstances demanded they find just a little more to pull out a home win.

They did, and thus, they did.

When you’re playing a third game in as many days, which doubled as a fifth game in six days, you don’t care how it looks. The Nuggets’ 91-86 victory over Milwaukee at the Pepsi Center won’t win awards for style.
But it was a win.

And in a shortened season with games almost nightly, an ugly win is every bit as positive as an aesthetically-pleasing one.
