Two former Florida men’s basketball standouts will be hosting youth camps in Gainesville next week.

The Dallas Mavericks’ Corey Brewer is holding his second Back-to-Back Youth Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 9-18 on Monday-Wednesday at The Rock School.

The camp is open to the first 80 campers who have signed up and paid.

The cost is $150 for the three-day camp (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) and includes lectures, basketball drill stations, player evaluations, 5-on-5 games, basketball contests and education sessions. Campers receive T-shirts, photos with Brewer, awards, lunch, camp certificates and instruction from some of the top coaches in the area.

Brewer will donate his camp proceeds to the “Corey Brewer Fight Diabetes Fund” at Shands UF. For more information or to sign up, go to coreybrewer.com.

Camping with Cross

Former UF guard Dan Cross brings his 7th annual All Fundamentals Gainesville Development Camp to the Florida gymnasium Wednesday-Aug. 6.

Registration fee is $185 for the camp which runs from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and provides basketball and life skills for athletes ages 5-14. Campers will be instructed on dribbling, shooting, passing, teamwork, respect, leadership and discipline.
